The Division of chemical engineering conducts research with the aim of analyzing and designing chemical processes.

The research has a broad application area concerning chemical engineering, biotechnology and biogeochemical processes. Current projects include system analysis, process optimization, catalysis, environmental technology, biotechnological production of biofuels, separation technology, energy technology and pharmaceutical preparation.
